The Jalen Rose Leadership Academy seeks dynamic and innovative staff to be a part of our “Break the Mold School” committed to developing students, staff and community members as future leaders in the city of Detroit. JRLA seeks talented individuals to join us in a variety of roles, from classroom teachers to administrators, and we are always accepting resumes. All JRLA teaching and administrative positions are reviewed on an ongoing basis allowing only the “best and the brightest” to serve as leaders to our students. Currently, we are looking for the following:
Full-Time: (2013-14)
- Dean of Students and Culture
Qualifications: Current Administrator certificate, or 90-day letter, for the state of Michigan. - Reading Teacher/Reading Specialist
Qualifications: Current secondary teaching certificate, or 90-day letter, for the state of Michigan. - Physical Education: Yoga, Martial Arts or CrossFit
Qualifications: Current secondary teaching certificate, or 90-day letter, for the state of Michigan.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
We are looking for volunteer math and English tutors on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 4:30-5:30pm to work with our students on a consistent basis.
JRLA has a limited amount of Administrative Leadership Internships available as well as opportunities for student teaching (must be registered at a university and receiving college credits). Volunteer opportunities are also available for people interested in entering the teaching profession.
