Coronavirus (COVID-19) Updates

COVID-19 Testing Parental Consent Form 

JRLA requires that parents and/or guardians provide formal consent to for their scholar to receive COVID-19 testing at school. COVID-19 testing is optional. However, to receive this service,  please complete, sign, and return a printed copy of the form at the link above as soon as possible to the Main Office. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to the JRLA Health & Safety Coordinator at 313-938- 1972.

COVID-19 Prevention & Resources

The best defense against any contagious illness is frequent and effective handwashing and seeking immediate medical assistance if experiencing symptoms. Below are guidelines in order to help prevent the spread of COVID-19:

  • Wash your hands with soap and water.

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands.

  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or upper sleeve when coughing or sneezing.

  • Avoid contact with people who are sick.

  • Monitor yourself for COVID-19 symptoms each day.

  • Stay home if you are sick and contact your healthcare provider.

  • Social distance: Remain at least 6ft from others whenever possible.

Vaccination

We strongly encourage vaccination against COVID-19 for those who are able. You may find a local vaccination site at www.vaccines.gov or at https://www.michigan.gov/coronavirus/0,9753,7-406-98178_103214---,00.html.

 

Testing
